No, not sure it's lava. Assumed so as that's the standard color in current motorsports Intelligent Performance livery

Those look like black uprights in the UV RS. I wonder if it has been added as a option?

I don't think 'Lava Orange' will become the 'standard color' for Porsche Motorsports anytime soon. They have too much invested in their current 'white/black/red' color scheme and all of those jackets are already bought & paid for!

Besides, that is all that Andreas Preuninger has hanging on his closet! He would be in serious trouble dressing up every day in the morning if these colors become 'Passé' or out of fashion!

I believe these 'RS' in public view now are all Porsche factory vehicles that are being used for publicity, ads, VIP rides, etc. Look at its license plates - LB for Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg.

This particular 'RS' is probably part of the sales & marketing motor pool based in that nearby city, north of Zuffenhausen.

And it wouldn't surprise anyone that they are experimenting with various things still...including 'black' trim colors for the uprights (which I think should be an option)!

Dale who took the photos of the Violet I posted is a good photographer and uses good cameras so I suspect that the photos are pretty accurate.
Thank you!
Just came from Porsche Brunch and they had 4 918's there and i cant imagine the 21" in anything but bright silver. Champion built a 918 Werks car in a light flat grey and it looked great.

Also a few Turbo's on 21" to give a sense of how giant those rear wheels are. In silver wheels the paint color doesn't matter because all you see is wheels. Looked at a bunch of GTSilver cars again including GT3 and Turbo's and it's just not for me.

I think you nailed it with UV and silver uprights/wheels. Black interior with silver stitching. UV looks absolutely gorgeous in those rainy pictures. Would be nice to see some in Florida sun.... Hopefully it doesn't look washed out.
If I can get a PTS gt4 I might copy your specs.

Usually I can stop myself from making negative comments here but cosmic justice compels me to write this. Only a mother could love that UV color in any of the pic shades shown. It simply repels me organically and I had to get this off my chest.

Lol - I like it, it's my second choice behind Viper Green. I like the fact its so different for a car that should be a keeper that's part of the appeal to me.

I guess it must be special if it's so polarizing. Definitely not boring.

I hope everyone posts who need to puke by looking at UV. If 90 out of 100 would never buy one it would make me pauze because this car will get sold sooner or later.

Its a crapshoot!

It does make sense because yellow is so awful to me, almost as bad as GR :-) cant argue color. My racecar came in yellow and it makes me vaster and more agressive because I need a reason to paint it
Every other person looking at the car loves it..

Many pay extra for GTSilver and i dont like it at all either.
