Also matches the seats pretty well - I would only go with carbon or painted.

Black chrome can be cliche, but the weight is there be it carbon or aluminum layered over plastic...and what are talking about, 50 grams? And carbon still signifies sportscar. They are both decorative finishes.

It's still the nicest option to me, although the black brushed is close.

Crazy how the carbon trim package in a 911 is a $1990 option, but aluminum trim is standard in some models, but a cost plus option on the RS....and some apparently will pay it.

Surely another 991 RL member will happily trade you his brushed aluminum trim for "RS" carbon plus $1K and the two beers it will take to trade them from one car to another. I'd do it.

For me, well placed Carbon Fiber is quite attractive. I might be slightly obsessed with it, but I don't go overboard with it. I order it where it makes sense (to me), for example, in my GTS, GT2 RS, GT2, GT3, etc. In my 991 50th? Absolutely not. Brushed Aluminum was standard, and I would not have changed it if I could.

I don't think I could do painted. Any LO in the interior goes a long way.

Maybe a nice wood grain kit would be good.

That's it I am getting a wood grain kit.

For my LO car I was pretty restrained on interior.

Full leather, LWBs of course. Standard orange stitching, door pulls and belts, and RS on the seatbacks.. No orange on the seat panels.

Thin orange line around the rectangle of trim around the shifter.

Aluminum pedals.

Usual interior options..PCM,smokers pack, track precision stuff, upgraded audio, ( no XM).

Fire extinguisher.

My Father In law often comments on the the plain black interior in my 996 GT3 saying that it looks to dark and morbid for his taste ,,,,,He thinks it would look better with some nice wood grain inlays to brighten the interior up ,,,like his Jag .........I shake my head and have laugh to my self ......Each to his own
