all cup eventually cost the same. you pay now or you pay later. you pay, pay and pay more.

but it is some of the best fun you will ever have clothes on or off.

i say just buy one, flog it for 2-3 years. pretend you bought citibank stocks in a few years back and write it off. most fun way to burn money.
^ citi stock, ugh don't remind me.

I would bet real $ I could break under 2:20 at Sebring without breaking a sweat. My (lack of skill in Gold Cup with 2:24s with 7.2 GT3) competence should get me there easily. It's the car, not me. Not sure how I feel about that.

This seems like a substantial amount to me and I believe it's the most stand out feature of the new RS.

Keep in perspective that this new pinnacle RS is still so much slower than a 15 year old 996 cup car around a track that in a 45 minute race the cup car would be out of sight. And for about one third the cost and a safer experience.

I encourage anyone that can afford a new RS to buy a cup car.
A Cup Car has more in common with a boat than a new GT3RS. Think about it.

Just spec'd my Canadian car:

http://www.porsche-code.com/PGUZKSD0

There is NO Barney option. No ultraviolet special color in Canada. I think I am going with boring white more than launch color orange.

Anyone have insight into:

"European Delivery in Leipzig incl. dynamic driving instruction:

Come and collect your Porsche in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen or Leipzig and be the one to take it to its rightful place: on the road. Before this, we invite you behind the scenes of the Porsche production process. As part of a guided factory tour, you will see how much passion and precision goes into everything we do. You can then take time to reflect on your experience over a leisurely lunch and look forward to the high point of the day: taking delivery of your Porsche. Our specialists will take their time to explain everything about your new car in as much detail as you wish. Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen is steeped in tradition and history. Here, you can visit the Porsche Museum to experience and learn about every aspect of the Porsche brand, with legendary models from a sports car history spanning over 60 years.Or, if you would prefer your factory collection to be rather more intensive, visit our production location in Leipzig.Your first driving experience will be a test drive in a Porsche model identical to the one you purchased and under the expert supervision of one of our instructors. Hone your skills on-road on the FIA-certified test circuit or on our very own off-road track in a Porsche off-road vehicle."

This sounds interesting, but is it more of a quick couple of laps? Looking for more info on the driving experience part. TIA

I suspect that will be fixed. There are obvious bugs in the Canadian configurator that will likely be fixed.

They are trying to figure out how to deal with the ever changing loonie...

Well, in fairness the difference in price was $20k from USA site and Canada for my configuration which is not that bad.
