Default How does the axle lift work?

I understand it disengages somewhere between 30 and 39 mph. Does it stay "up" no matter what unless you break the speed barrier or manually lower it?

Just thinking through some day to day obstacles and valets, etc.

Thanks!
Sean

As long as you stay below the auto drop speed, it will stay up until manually dropped, certainly for a while, not sure if forever... eg. stays up to drive the length of a street with several speed humps... Hope this answers your question...

Yes indeed it does - thanks! I was hoping that were the case. My biggest fear is a valet dropping it on top of a curb or something crazy like that. ,

Unless the valet was silly enough to press the button whilst stopped over a speed hump, you'd be fine. And it would need to be a big *** speed hump to do harm because you have about 90-100mm clearance through the centre of the car

The system even has safety features like being unable to drop the car whilst the doors are open to avoid hitting the curb or crushing something/ someone...

Just to add to what Chris said, I found that despite what the manual says about it lowering automatically at 30mph, mine stays up until 39mph. Porsche says not to park the car over obstacles with the lift up because air can eventually bleed out of the system and cause damage by lowering onto something, but I accidentally parked it overnight in my garage with the lift up and it was still up when I restarted the car.

I accidentally left my lift system up as well overnight, it stayed "up" for about 40hrs days before I decided to lower it myself. I was worried it would but unnecessary strain on the suspension.

OK, that's great to hear that it stays up, even when the car is off, understanding it should not be left up for extended periods of time.

You let a valet drive your GT3? I would go somewhere else.
