Default Important Notice: Bluetooth "option 619" on the 991 GT3

For those with a car on order, this is important for you to know.

Please be advised that Bluetooth is NOT a standard option on the GT3.
In order to have Bluetooth on these vehicles, option 619 (Mobile Phone Preparation) needs to be included in the order.

I paid the extra for Bluetooth on my 2010 RS - total waste of money. Car is too noisy.
I use a headset if I need to phone in that car.

I've used it in my new car a couple of times; it's serviceable. The point is, it's a no cost option as long as you're already ordering "free" NAV; "free" in quotes because NAV requires the $700 audio upgrade. Option 619 doesn't cost anything, so no reason not to get it, IMO.

maybe you should slow down at mosport front straight so you can chat on the phone and stop yelling.

1. so, i can opt out of nav if i want?
2. if i want nav, i have to pay for nav as an option and pay for upgraded audio of $700, then i get blue tooth free?
3. i am coming up north to take you to lunch when it's my time to order.

You can opt out of PCM/NAV and get only the standard 2x25 watt 4 speaker stereo. No extra cost. No Bluetooth.

If you order the $700 Sound Plus option (185 watts 7 speakers) you can add PCM/NAV and Bluetooth for free.

Conversely, if you order PCM/NAV plus Bluetooth they are technically free but you must order the $700 Sound Plus package. A little Porsche trickery, there.

Still $700 for PCM/NAV, an upgraded stereo, and Bluetooth is a relative bargain in Porsche world.

If lunch is on you, beer is on me....

Bargain? Mike, that's more like hitting the Porsche lottery! I suspect it is because we already paid for the extras in the base price and get a free delete. So adding it back has no cost.

Pfff In europe we pay 4000 USD for the PCM + 1000 USD for the sound plus and again 1000 for the tel

6000 USD for us, 700 for you.

And the car is made at 300 kms from my home !

Good advice...I ordered it, because of this forum, many months ago. Many did not know about it, and many dealers did not tell their customers. A lot of pissed off people...I wonder what Porsche will be able to do about it - it should be standard at these prices...so silly. 4 GT3's were delivered on Monday, including mine, and the three others did not have it...all were trying to figure out why their phones would not pair....mine did...

Don't care about the phone...want Bluetooth audio. Which I'm told is included with 619 mobile phone prep (fingers crossed)
