Default GT3s Attack NorCal!

Went to Fletcher Jones in Fremont today to see not one, but two white GT3s fresh off the truck and ready for PDI. First time I've gotten to see the 991 GT3 in the flesh, so it was all very exciting!

As you can see, these two are very nearly twins. One came with big reds, the other PCCBs. The big red car has the full leather on the dash, w/o chrono. First time I'd ever seen it, so that was special. I was, however, somewhat disappointed in that the stitching is not in the same color as the rest of the deviated stitching.

It is a bit of a let down to see the car for the first time all dirty, with the films still intact, missing the splitter and the front end sitting so high.

Sport chrono make a huge difference for the better. I don't see the red stitching.

I don't understand what you mean by "the deviated stitching didn't match"?

The big red car has the "extra" leather covering the entire dash. However... the stitching does not use the same color thread as the rest of the car (in this case, silver). The "extra" leather is all stitched using black (same color as the black leather) thread.

I decided the same thing. Despite having it in both my previous GT cars and finding them completely useless, other than a clock.

The 991 sport chrono looks so much better than the prior gen.

got it now. i realize neither had deviated red stitch.
but it should be all red when choosing deviated stitching, correct?

I thought I read the same finding (the extra leather is NOT in deviated stitching) here on another post. I would have to say this confirms it.

Any RLers on here laying claim to these NorCal beauties?

Mooty? I'm guessing the PCCB car might be yours!

Somewhere in the past 10 days, someone posted a picture of a car that had the extended dash in leather and in deviated red stitching, which extended throughout the extended dash leather.

However, I don't this this car was a GT3, but rather a 991 911. So I would be careful, or get a guarantee from your dealer.

As I mentioned before, after looking at a car with regular full leather in red stitching this weekend, I don't think it needs any further leather beyond the full leather package. The extra dash looks nice, is on the poseur side (away from the true race car side)

I'm wondering if the trim in the first interior pic is brushed anthracite aluminum or the standard brushed aluminum. Anyone know for sure?

My guess is brushed aluminum - the anthracite looks darker in other pics. THis looks more silver than gray.
