Like every preceding generation, both cars are basically the same on and off the track. The RS certainly has more cool factor.

Order the RS. There will be plenty used GT3s once the RS hits the streets. Gotta keep up with the Jones.'

Ok so I didn't place my money on the RS but with the GT3. I was too far down the list to realistically receive an allocation. Am I disappointed? No, but a tad jealous on those that were smart enough not to hesitate on the deposit. I was told I will have the car in early '15 and within that time more options (I pray for carbon buckets) will be released. So far I've chosen PCCB, full leather and yellow seat belts. All else at this point is undecided especially exterior colors. I'm between white/gray wheels and GT silver/silver wheels. Silver has always been my favorite color but white is just too sexy. My only reservation on white is that it's white, lol. My least favorite color in the past but I cannot stop looking at some of the threads featuring white gt3's. Uuuhhh (sigh).

In the mean time, I'll be working on the track car.

So they said #5 was too far down to be realistic? Realistic = never or late '15 or '16 or ? Trying to gauge where #3 puts me. Of course it's dealer dependent, etc.. and there's always hoping that #1/#2 drop out but ugh.

See the deciding factor was if they weren't able to get me an RS, I could either get my deposit back or use it toward another model BUT I'd be placed at the bottom of that current list. I wasn't having the option of no RS an no GT3. I played it safe going with the GT3. It really depends on how many allocations your dealer gets. Someone could be #2 at one dealer and not receive an allocation, while another did at #5 on a list. I'm certain you could investigate or ask for the RS sales history from the dealer your listed with and determine whether you have a good shot or not.

Best of luck. I hope you get one!
