Whoa there nelly! I'm all for GR, but there's a little post-shot processing going on there. If you encounter a scenario where it looks like that in RL.....duck and cover would be my suggestion.

Like most colors GR does show differently in different light, including some orange in direct sunlight. I prefer that changing character, actually, to a more "pure" fire engine red.
For comparison these pics aren't nearly as pretty as Capt Mojo's but are a decent representation of GR in late afternoon light, without processing. Not too much orange here.....

Orange isn't a bad thing... GR is still my color of choice (next to dark blue and anthracite brown and and and....). Just noticing that his pics were more purple hue than what I could see in daylight.

WOW! Thanks guys! I didn't expect that kind of response!
The picture was taken using a Canon EOS 7D using a 24-105mm lens ISO-200, f/6.3 at 1/800 bracketed two stops either side to create three images. These were then sandwiched together as an HDR (high dynamic range) image using Photomatix Pro which was also used to 'tweak' the image.
Thanks again for the compliments - I'm very flattered!
