Default 18 way Adaptive Seats - Same as other 991's?

Hi All,
In assessing my fit and comfort in my upcoming GT3, I was wondering if the 18 way seats in the other 991's are the same, other than the surfaces? It seems to be the case from the pictures.

What about the 4 way seats? Same thing - can I feel what they are like by sitting in a 4 way 991?

I'm tall (6'7") but in decent shape, so width isn't too much of an issue. Part of the draw for me to the 991 in general was that I could drive it very comfortably, and as you can imagine, many other fast cars are right out.

Thanks in advance. Another 24 hours of waiting time is behind me since my last post :-)

Yes, the 18 way GT3 sport plus seats are the same as the regular 991 except for the alcantera inserts, the standard silver stitching, and the GT3 logo on the headrest. Same with the 4 way sport plus seats....

Thanks! Looks like I'll fit :-) Imagine the disappointment on delivery day otherwise.

I've spent quite a bit of time in the 18 ways with no sunroof (Carrera 4s) and have been very happy. Without the sunroof I can actually get in there with a helmet on, which is obviously fairly important for track days.

Wow. I'm 6'3 and I feel cramped legroom wise on the dash of the 991 I sat in. Haven't really driven one . I'm encouraged if you fit then I can too. Didn't want the delivery surprise either....

You'll be fine. No car is super comfortable for me other than something like a 2013 S8 which was heaven. But I have about 1.5 inches of headroom and knees are reasonably comfortable. At 6'3" you will fit like a dream.

You sure the seats were all the way back? I believe on some 991's there is a power and a manual adjuster.

991 and R8 were my only options.

Is that true Mike? I was hoping the GT3 seats had additional bolstering. I wasn't impressed with standard 991 seats. Please please please release the US buckets already!

Hoopumpers, FWIW, the GT3 seats aren't like the "standard" 991 sport seats but rather the optional 991 sport plus 4 way and 18 way seats which do have added bolstering. I sat in 18 way sport plus seats in a TT and by inclining the rake, extending the thigh support, and tightening up the bolsters was able to get a position that gave decent support. Certainly good enough for the street. But you're right, they didn't provide the support of my previous sport buckets and wouldn't be adequate for serious track use even if they did accept a harness.

Stopped by my dealer today and sat in a 991 with the 18 way seats. Incredibly comfortable. I loved them, much better than the 14 ways for me.

Made the anticipation and excitement even tougher!
