Next Dealer Allocations?

Does anyone know when the US dealers will get their 2nd round of allocations for the GT3? Dealers in our area got their first two cars from their 1st allocation and these cars have either been delivered or are arriving in the port. I am first in line for the next allocation at my dealer, but my dealer does know when it will be released by presumably Porsche AG. Was told by Porsche North America that the 2nd round of allocations were delayed due to initial production delays, but they claim no knowledge of when Germany will release this 2nd round.

Any inside knowledge - cannot wait to get the car on order?

I'm hearing the same thing from the Rhode Island dealer.

The US cars are here and more will be coming over over the next 3-4 months. I bet there are customers who will back out of the deal at the last minute and these cars become available but you need to be flexible on options and as Mooty say's wire the funds quickly. The best thing to do is call them often and see if any order has fallen through.

Interesting advice. Is it your opinion that US dealers will not be able to place any GT3 orders in 2014? If that turns out to be an accurate prediction, then those of us waiting to place build orders will be out of luck. Have you got any solid info or is this just your gut opinion?

I'mi n the same position, #1 for the next allocation. There is another thread for Q3 2014 deliveries...i'm guessing thats what this next allocation is.

I'm not sure I can wait that long!

I'm not that pessimistic. I'm hoping for a 1st or 2nd quarter allocation.

Some people expect their dealer to get one GT3 allocation per quarter in 2014. Others don't expect there to be any GT3 allocations during 2014. Some dealer seem to have specific info on the 2014 allocations and other dealers seem to have no info. There was a similar level of misinformation and lack of information about allocations last April thru July.

I'm pretty sure the first and second quarter allocations are already gone. Mine is a first quarter with delivery in April - I already have the confirmed build sheet from Porsche NA.

I have q3 2014.. Wonder when I should expect call from dealer?

911dev 12-23-2013 05:25 PM

I have had a Q3 2014 allocation since Aug. ^ CAlexio, I would expect late March. I'm told we're MY2015s.

There doesn't seem to be any consistent pattern here. My dealer, who I have come to trust, thinks they are going to get two cars allocated shortly (that will be their 3rd and 4th cars) with deliveries in the April or May, June latest, timeframe. But he admits that PCNA cannot confirm nor deny that schedule - originally they were told to expect two cars in 2013 and four cars in 2014. I sure hope so as I just passed up a car from another dealer that was offered, just didn't want that option package and when you are paying this much for a car it makes sense to me to wait.

I asked the sales manager couple of times and he didn't know if they will get more allocation for MY 2104. The last allocation they got which was car #4 car was a bonus allocation. The UK depositors were refunded so not sure what that means for US.

Sorry, I wish I could be more helpful.

If you're in California and are willing to buy a car with almost every option ticked and spend 5-10k over MSRP, you can have a car now.

Noticed that Porsche dealer in Alpharetta, ga seems to have two gt3 at msrp, very low spec.

Curious, which dealer.

Can't be Hennessy.

Ellis was charging up to $20k over.
