Next Dealer Allocations?

Not every dealer is charging a premium, I think it depends upon your relationship with your dealer and how much business you've done with them over the years. I had an opportunity to buy a car that is available next week from a dealer I've done business with for many years but turned it down; it just wasn't equipped that way I would like it. For the MSRP price they are charging I will wait for my allocation; I am next in line so it may be easier for me to wait than others. Hope I am not making a mistake, but I am assured that the next allocation will be available "shortly."
I am surprised that PCNA is allowing this type of pricing practice, I have always thought that they are pretty strict with the dealers - but I guess if dealers are looking at each transaction as a one time event, then the long term relationship is not important.

Very disappointing however to see the "above MSRP" post above...this is the first I have heard of Hennessy doing this. First Matt left, now this.....

In the four years since the Hennessey fiasco I have purchased three additional Porches. Not once did I consider Hennessey in those purchases.

the letter was posted only to illustrate who had availability in atlanta. they bought the allocation from another dealer, and part of the premium was passed through. the rest is the difference between being patient and waiting at your place in line, or paying extra to move up.

Once a dealer purchases an allocation from another dealer all bets are off as far as Porsche not allowing the dealer to ask for a premium. The dealers commitment to Porsche is strictly for their Porsche allocated cars.

So that's one way greedy dealers could play the game and avoid Porsche's scrutiny; the selling and purchasing dealer basically split the profit that they gouge from the anxious-to-get-a-car customer.

If I am not mistaken, Porsche gives dealers "pool/bonus cars" which they can sell for whatever price they get for them. Allocations for customers typically are sold at MSRP.

Hey guys. I picked up the Hennessy car. Won't go into details regarding the trabsaction but I honestly felt that where we ended up was fair. Otherwise I was looking at a 150k carrera 4s and always wishing I would have found a way to get a gt3. I am so unbelievably excited and my experience with them has been top notch.
