tmg57 - have to say your car looks very impressive! Never thought Guards Red would look sooo good on the 991.
Definitely has the WOW factor! The real life pics really show off the curves of the body.
Congrats & looking forward to your review...

Congrats man. That's a rocking sled.
Yes Frayed, that answers the sport wheel and GT3 paddles concern.

Looking at the rear shot of the rear tail lights on the gurards red they seems a little wider than on a lighter color GT3. The red color blending makes it appear that way. Could be the angle. It almost looks more like the 997 rear tail light.

Ok, compared to the 991 at legal speeds, I didn't feel a big difference in the steering or the paddle shifting. Starting from a dead stop, the transmission is interesting in that it it just sits in neutral, just as if you had a clutch depressed. It doesn't creep like other PDK's or, should I say it, automatics. It engages gradually, just as if you properly engaged a clutch. I took a couple of corners at moderate speed and the car stayed very flat, just like my 991 with PDCC. The ride is surprisingly good. Very firm, but comfortable.

All in all, the car doesn't feel like an untamed beast, but a well engineered machine that, I suspect, will have limits well beyond my ability to appreciate.

Curious to see some pics of yellow cars. Anyone has one coming soon? Seems yellow would combine the nice features of both red and white. The standard wheel color would look good on yellow too, I think.

Congrats to everyone who are getting their cars these days!

TMG57. I think the anthracite alloy interior trim looks great in your you car as it is very subtle and lets the red stitching feature stand out without looking so busy like all the interior elements are fighting each other to be seen! Good work on thinking of that!

In my white car with platinum stitching I needed the brushed alloy inserts (same texture as yours but raw alloy vs a titanium colour like your anthracite ones) to actually give the car some pop or it would have looked far too dark and sombre inside.

By the way good choice also with the black PDLS. Again not an option I think works so well on white but on the red it looks good as it does on the RS car I have seen some pictures of.

Cant wait for your drivng impressions.

FYI I asked the factory direct after getting my car what the break in procedure was. They said simply take it a bit easy first tank, no small stop start journeys, make sure I get some heat into it before revving it out and try and keep the max rpm away from the redline. After that they said "drive it like you will always drive it". Good enough for me, by the second tank it was Italian tune up style LOL!

Why do you people keep torturing me with red!!! I want white, white, white. Now I'll have to change my order 12 more times.

Ray is correct. The antenna is on the roof and I don't like it. I never considered the antenna location when I ordered the car.
