Default Pedals and Footrest in Aluminum

I know this falls into the "glitter" category and not nearly as cool as Macca's recent postings that I'm still drooling over, but have any of you considered, seen or have any opinions on the option for getting the pedals and footrest in Aluminum? I love the look, don't love the price, but my only question is whether there's a slip risk if you're wearing non-rubber soles? I'll probably pass on this, but it looked cool.

Throw the tomatoes...I know I deserve it!

Buy aftermarket (possibly Rennline). The Porsche pedals look plastic-like. The aluminum just looks off, IMO.

Agree with LexVan. I saw them in person in a 991 and it wasn't something I'd get for my car, especially at the price.

I was going to get it but my sales guy recommended that I don't. He said my foot would slip if my shoes were wet and the standard rubber was better. I do what i'm told.

Thanks - they look nice, but it sounds unanimous. I might get them anyway

I'm a big fan of the rennline pedals. They look a lot better than the Porsche pedals, and they have rubber tabs to keep them from getting slippery when wet.

This is what the rennline pedals, aluminum track mat, and floor board look like:

Lower right hand corner camera shows them in use:

I'll add another plus one for the Rennline pedals! Just finished installing mine about a week ago. Crazy easy heel/toe action now! If you're interested in seeing what the install is like, I made a video:

Cheers guys

When I still had my 997.1 TT 6MT had I kept her the next thing on my list were the Ruf aluminum pedals as I wasn't real pleased with the OEM pedals for heel and side foot rev match shifting.

I had Aluminum pedals in my 15 GT3. The saying 'Slippery when wet' was spot on.
