PFC 08 seemed to blow away Pagid on my 997.2 GT3. The Pagids were good but then lost bite after they were half done. The PFC's seem to have more initial bite and that doesn't change until they are completely done with!

what have you guys found the pagids do at half life? I'm guessing they deteriorate much more quickly once you hit half the material?

I thought this was common with a lot of pads due to less mass = less heat capacity in the pad itself.

Loved PFCs on my bmw but only used them once.

They loose their bite, and they feel like ****. I need confidence in order to drive at 10/10ths.

Yes, muschy losing all bite, feels like fade.

Awesome thanks for the input.

I've had great experience with PFC08's on my 997.1 GT3.

I agree with Pagids giving up at half life.

The new GT3 used PFC brakes so why not use the PFC 08 track pads that worked perfectly on the 997? Or even the new PFC compounds.

Have run pagid 29's and for the last year the PF08 in the .2 GT3. The Pagid tapers as it wears, and def doesnt last as long at the PF's. This said I had one of the PF08 front pads separate from the backing metal, wasnt a big deal.

Ill try the PF08 on the new car as soon as I can get them

I think PFC knows about the problem of material falling off.
I never had it happen, but the last 6 months we seen several.

You might get a free set out of it if you ask?

FLM911:
Which part number did you have separate? Was it either the PF7819 or PF0991 fronts, or a PF1299 rear?

PF78190817 - I bought then from you (switched to complete performance friction setup on all corners). Sent you a PM just now.

Got it. Just emailed you.

After a lot of trial and error, I've exclusively used pfc01s at the track for the last ten years on five different cars. Best pads IMO, but they are phasing them out and replacing them with 11s. After emailing with PF I'm ordering a set for my 991S. I hope they're as good as the 01s.

Very kind of you to followup Mark...pleasure working with you in the past and now.

008:
The PF11 is a new and improved version of the 01. What PF is saying is that the 11 will have the same torque characteristics as the 01, but will be more consistent throughout the operating temperature range.

I ran an 08 front 11 rear combination when I raced a 996 Cup at the SP race in September. Worked great. Next time out I am going to throw some 11s up front for comparison purposes.

Do you guys experience much squealing with the pfc01s?

Mark I know your the expert on all things PF...how would you characterize the difference between these compounds?
