I'm thinking dark blue looks best, maybe PTS atlas grey for the RS...

Ok, I'm going to try this one more time.

Here goes, it's complicated.. But bare with me. (Clears throat)... PLASTIDIP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just dip the wheels, will cost you $20 and maybe 2 hrs of your time. You can take them back to original in 5 minutes, while protecting the coating underneath . you'll end up with beautiful flat black (or gloss if you want) wheels which look completely professional and perfect. Then when you're tired of them, peel it off.

Can't imagine paying for powdercoating for wheels since plastidip. Go on YouTube for explanations.

Ahhhhh.. Got it. Thx for Emphasizing. Thats amazing. Hard to believe, but looks like it works and any amateur can get a nice smooth finish

yes.. I really couldn't believe it when i saw it online the first time. I took some lightweight forged BBS wheels on my 5 series wagon and did a "what the heck, it can't hurt" attempt... first try, just by using the spray can without even a paint gun.. you get a super smooth finish.. looks truly professional.

the only downside is that when you change your tires, the machine will peel off the plastidip off the edge. But, you just peel off the whole thing, enjoy your beautiful unblemished, perfectly uncorroded by brakedust rim for a few minutes.. then take another can of dip and start over.

they now sell it with a "gloss" effect, and different colors... you can literally recreate paint on wheels and change the look as often as you want.

My latest crazy color idea is to go for the midnight metallic blue on the gt3... and maybe plastidip some bronze rims... will look pretty interesting with both red and pccb calipers.

Also I would speculate that with Rhodium being a new colour this year, you would think that Porsche would want to promote it by using it on their mules...

+1

Thx for posting this. Have you tried it with the CL wheels? I'm worried about the 'plastic' getting between the CL nut and the rim. I assume you just taped off the 5-bolt holes on the rims you posted pictures of above?

This may be Anthracite Brown Metallic instead of Agate. Props to Eduardo for his prior suggestions... Hard to tell with the yellow-ish lighting / filter in the photographs. It would be interesting to know for sure.

Don't get any ideas. I want to be the only US ABM

Not sure what your point is making a statement like that.

The old guy in the photo should have wasted his money and be driving what exactly, a RR Phantom Coupe? Why not a Buick, Subaru, a Prius, or a Toyota Camry all of which ride better and are more reliable than a Rolls?

Even if I were to live to be 130 years old, I'd want to be spending my last days driving a car like the GT3 in the same manner as Walter Rohl trying to set a best lap time.

I have tons of respect for a guy that age owning and driving this type of car.

A few more pics of dRk blue with pccb... Love how those clear rear lights look when they are turned on

Not quite feeling the dark blue; nice enough, but somehow doesn't seem right for a GT3. Also, it's so dark it might as well be black, and black is beautiful but a PITA.

Agate Grey... very sinister... black lights a MUST HAVE with this IMO.

My favorite, but I am partial.

Love white too, would put black stone guards for some retro look.

I don't get the RR Phantom comment. You saying that guy is too old for the car? If so, stop being a turd.

Love this gray color. Any one know if agate gray matches the the gray smoked wheals?
