I used to scrape the rubber spoiler lip on my 3.2 Carrera with factory F/R spoilers, as well as the wheel fairings on my 996 and 997.2, none of which were lower than the 991 GT3 so I'm really surprised by the comments stating that people never scrape their cars.

It's not about money, it's about some additional peace of mind that if my car is ever in an unusual situation that requires that extra inch and a quarter of clearance (not to mention getting up my own driveway) I won't have to sweat it. TEHO.

5 miles of my commute home is on a dark twisty two lane road and dear is all over the area and I thought LED would be worth while and as such I deleted the black PDL and added the LED. I have heard they really bright. I really like the blacked out PDL but I rather have more light and a diff look than my .2 GT3. Maybe I retrofit my .2 GT3 to Black PDL if thats possible so that I have both

3.5yrs with 3.8 RS and never scraped lip. All depends on where you drive. Personally, would never consider a used GT3 with lift. Also, as Macca noted you will scrape brake ducts regardless of whether you have lift or not.

Bonkers... Simply bonkers!

Black lights looks amazing btw.. That black ring around the edge is very cool. Can't wait to see them on different colors.

Hello all,

The clearance is about 9 centimeters, you'll have to convert that to imperial yourselves

That Grey looks amazing indeed in combination with the black PDLS!
Still have to see it in the flesh but if my order wasn't already locked yet I seriously would consider getting this combo. Luckily I have already finished this very tough decision making process! ;-) My baby is in the making as we speak ;-)

Default garage ground clearance issue potentially solved

my incredibly generous upstairs neighbor, has decided to go carless... which means that for the forseeable future... I have two garage spots. The relevant point though.. is that his garage spot seems to have less of a diagonal incline, which could make it easier for me to be able to get this darn gt3 into the garage. Also, now I have a spot for my bikes and my everyday work car. Pretty cool to have this luxury in San Francisco. Hope he stays carless FOREVER!!

Here are pics of the incline.. the trouble has always been the "breakover" from the driveway to the garage entrance on the left side (of the left garage space which is mine). This breakover is so pronounced, that the previous guy in the garage couldn't get his Tesla sedan to raise high enough with it's suspension to get in without scraping. IMO, This would have been a deal-breaker with the 997 gt3.. let alone with the longer wheelbase 991

Now I have the garage on the right to use also... I'm thinking that with the flatter approach and the front wheel lift system I should be ok?... here is hoping. Larry Cable is coming over on the 14th to see if his 997 can make it.. but if any local SF guys with a 991 care to take a shot at it...

I passed on a new home once because I couldn't get my lowered NSX in the garage(s) without major scraping.

Unhappy RE agent for sure.
