Alex. Mooty is the best person to ask but here is my wild guess. You probably can sell it for $120K after two yr's if you sell it yourself but the dealer wont pay u $120K, I don't think. They have to mark it up $15K and leave room for negotiation and it then becomes a new car price after 2 yrs which wont work.

I say if you pay $145K figure the worse would be to sell it at $115K after two year of ownership. That's being optimistic. If you hold on to it for 4 yr's it probably sell around $110K. So the the 1st two yrs is always the hardest hit. You are better off keeping it for 4 yrs if you can. Again, i am no sales guy just a wild guess based on previous experience.

Agree with above. However, the one caveat is that GT3 demand is likely to still be fairly high a year from when you get your car next spring. If you can bear to sell it in one year and haven't driven it 20,000 miles, I don't think you'll lose more than $10,000.

that's what I was thinking with the demand being still high in 2015.. But who knows. For sure the depreciation won't be catastrophic with this car, and that's really all the comfort I need. We should expect to pay for enjoyment of this level.. And $1000/month plus missed investment opportunity of the cash would be an amazingly cheap way to enjoy this car. I'm paying $2500/month extra in rent just enjoying the luxury of not having a roommate in my extra room right now... and somehow I'm justifying it for the privacy and peace and quiet LOL. It's all relative

Porsche has a great heritage, which allows them to charge more for giving less.
