I have yet to see silver painted wheels or black (both options) on the 991GT3 in promotional photos. I wonder why?

I'm leary of the silver painted wheels with the CL hub. Heard that last time the porsche logo on the hub, which you get with the silver wheels, falls of the CL hub with repeated use and changing of tires.

My CL will stay base with the GT3 logo

nope, I spent a lot of time doing searches on CL wheels when I was deciding whether or not to get the GT3. Apparently, if you order the painted CL wheels (which also get the Porsche logo instead of GT3), have had a problem with the Porsche logo falling off.

I'm not a expert on this, but I found that when searching a couple months ago. Sorry no link.

This is interesting because I was considering replacing the GT3 CL caps with Porsche crest CL caps. Add more color and distinctiveness to the OME wheels.

Now I don't know whether to do it or not.

The stock wheels have center caps that say GT3. The black painted wheels come with the same cap that says GT3. Only the silver painted wheel has the cap with the Porsche crest.

This is also the first I have heard of the crest coming off easily.

Not my experience. I ordered my 2010 with silver wheels and I hade no problems with the caps.

Mabrouk for the car to come on 24th Dec. One question: will you get it via airfreight or normal sea freight ? And when did you order it ?
Am asking since i ordered mine mid March and no firm delivery date yet......though intensively following up with dealer here in Dubai. Maybe end Jan......
