Its absolutely stunning in person. I saw it at the NY Autoshow back in March which basically sealed to deal for me.

Looks like it has LED lights. Can anyone going to the show take a picture with the LED lights on. I would like to see how the day running lights look turned on.

Hope this helps.. --

I was at a dealer in Chi that had a turbo with the LED's. He turned them on for me. WOW.. The daytime running lights look awesome. The pictures can never do it justice.

I added a link as I'm out of upload space:

Anyhow.. In the first pic. You see the outer circumference of the light illuminated. (which I'm calling the halo) -- and then 4 lights in the corners. In real life it looks like a continuous ring. (like a white light saber--lol) I've never seen a photo able to reproduce the LIVE effect, even on the P site)..It looks ABSOLUTELY MENACING in person. Closest I've seen were a new Bentley in the rear view, but still not near as cool as this.

If you see a dealer with a Turbo & these options have him turn then on..

The normal PDL+ Night lights I guess you call them.. looked std. except he said since they are LED they don't head.

I think the DLR looks a bot daft really. Also I question the LED "twin tube" lens look on the long looking 991 GT3 body shell. They elongate teh shape and it no longer has the "character" of a face as all cars must have. These are my conclusions having been a big supporter of ED at the beginning and changing my order which is currently in production around 3-4 weeks ago when I finally saw these lights on the 991TTS.

Compare the real world photos below and decide for yourself....

They don't provide any hard numbers on differences in lighting performance, correct? Lumens or similar measure?

Yeah,my opinion is that the biggest challenge Porsche designers had before launching the 991 was to make it look modern while keeping the iconic shape and styling. Those lights are a in that aspect...
We all know how botched headlights made the 996 less desirable...

I skipped the LEDs and bought ten sets of color matched keys.
