Availability of GT3s
I haven't been following the GT3 allocation/market, and am considering getting a 991GT3, possibly as a euro delivery in july/aug.
How likely is it to happen without an allocation as of yet?
Thx

The dealer has a list but it all comes down to who do you know (Sorry but true) They give these cars to their good customers. The list I think is all BS. If you are an out of towner and 1st time customer its very unlikely to get these cars. My dealer will not mark up but some of the other dealers do.

a lot depends on the sales volume of the dealer...
if you are #4 at a large dealer>probably get a car, if #3 at a small dealer, hope for a spot on the 2nd production run.

I found that smallest dealerships got either 0 or 1 allocation. Moderate dealerships got 3 or 4 and large dealerships got as many as 14 to 20 (there was only one or two that large). Out of all my phone calls, I found 3 available allocations total. One at $20k over, one at $5k over and one at MSRP. I took the MSRP allocation. All of those allocations are now gone.
At this point I would say you might have a sliim chance of a MY2015 car if you get on the horn now as dealers don't have their 2015 allocations yet. Be prepared to put down a $1k to $5k deposit when you find an allocation - make sure that the dealer got allocation for 2014 and be sure to be high on the list like #1, #2 or #3.

With more reviews coming out, expect the lines to get deeper. If only 864 GT3 are bound to the US market for the 2014, your chances are slim but not impossible. You might get lucky with a dealer that no one knows about or a late cancelation with someone else's specs.
Good luck, hope you get one.

I was late to the party back in June just discovering the new GT3. I hit the phone lines hard and called 30 dealers at increasing distances. At the time the major market dealers had huge waiting lists with deposits in Miami and Tampa as deep as 24 !
