And I am an auto-box hater (currently have an 991S with manual and an A5 3.0 TDI also manual - both very rare to find )

BTW, on a general note, I just got my digital copy of EVO. Anyone buying one of these cars should find a copy of their CoTY article. Unfortunately, I can't copy and paste from the article or I'd post excerpts, but it's well worth reading.
Over on Pistonheads it was stated that GT3 production for MY2014 will cease in Q12014 so sounds like Porsche plans to buildout the model year by the end of March.

My dealer currently reports my order will lock in January, but he was saying it was a Q2 build, I think I need to press him for more info.

I was told by my dealer that my Q3 2014 build will b3 a MY2015. As you stated, maybe MY2015's begin sooner; Q2 2014.

Here's another quote from over on Pistonheads ...

"My OPC said Porsche told them there will be no more 991 GT3s and they should immediately return deposits to those not allocated a car. They are returning 6 deposits from my OPC and had a further 15 LOIs. AP did say only 250 cars for UK. Let's see..."

If UK dealers are returning deposits and production for MY2014 ends in Q1 2014, and only a few allocations have gone out in the US for late 2014 builds as MY2015 ... how many are they really going to build? It seems as though total production could fall well short of the 4500 GT3 + GT3 RS that AP mentioned earlier this year.

Ryan that umber was 4000 and it included the RS builds. It was approx 2500 GT3 with 1500 RS . Of those 2500 units 250 were allocated to UK. Around 1500 for USA. It would seem however this time around there may be more RS sold than originally anticipated as delays in gt3 delivery and dealers not being able to offer confirmed allocations in many ROW countries where the GT3 is in heavy demand has lead to an up-sell to RS.

I think we will be surprised with this car and it will end up being like the BMW 1M (not sure you guys got that one). In the UK , NZ or elsewhere even after 2 years those cars are selling for same price as new because so few made relatively and such good reviews after they were announced.

Macca,

Indeed we did get the 1M. I'm not really concerned about residuals - it it turns out like the 1M all the better.

I darn sure want my GT3. I've ordered cars from other marques before, but I can't recall feeling this much anticipation in the past.

Hey Macca, I heard 864 and 1500 cars for the US market. Any confirmations on what the real numbers are? Thanks as always.

Dude. No idea really. Theres rumours abounding everywhere. The 864 units was for MY 14 production taking place in two runs as far as Im away now and in Q1 2014. This would hold broadly true for the total run given 864 is close to half 1500 estimate. This assume two production runs in 2014 before the car is finished for good. I assume a Q3 & Q4 production run although some are speculating that the 991 GT3 will end early. I dont see it myself. All I know for sure is demand has been at the high end of teh factories estimates and with RHD much higher than they had forecast (perhaps Asia and UK economies picking up etc). Currently UK dealers are being told to accept no more deposits fro RHD orders, but I suspect this will change once the factory are ontop of production.

First UK car arrives at dealership yesterday and was prepared for customer who drove away today! Heres also an ealry photo of a customer black GT3 in Europe a red GT3 awaiting customer collection in German along with a white Swiss? LHD customer delivery all from earlier this week...
