It's all irrational. No more or less than a 458 in the first place.

I have a 458 and use a 991S as one of my DD's. If I don't care about practicality the 458 wins every time. I have a 991tt on order it won't replace it either. I had a '11 GT3RS it sucked as a street car. All just my opinion.

If the money doesn't matter I would pick the 458 every time.

The RS would be the easy "side-step"...

RS will be a far different car than a 458. It's not a "side-step".

F12 is the best I'd drive ti every single day and night if I had one!! Can we trade problems? I'll take the car decision problem and you can take my moving issues!

The 458 feels way more nimble than my former 991 GT3. The steering is more numb on the GT3. The 458 steering reminds me more of my prior 996.3...but better. You can't even compare the throttle response between the two. The 458 has literally zero resistance for the rise and fall of revs....almost like no flywheel...

It's so hard to give advice when it comes to these kind of cars. OP. To me it comes down to how you use your cars? They are all brilliant. In their own way, Attention, Track use, noise, looks! The list goes on. Track days at Yas and the Auto drome is fun. I would add a 997rs for track days and keep the 458 for cruising around Madinath/Al Qasr and get the attention you want.
