Larry, I don't blame you if that info is correct. $50K more than the 3 and the same price as a TTS?? That's a huge departure from the previous RS/3 price structure where the difference was closer to $20K. Wonder if the dealer knows what he's talking about......

I cant say, however when he informed me about the GT3 release his facts were accurate ...

At that price by the time you have optioned some CF ashtrays and optional built-in vacuum cleaner into your build you will be over 200k sticker ... I dont care if it comes with free BJs for life from a movie star of your choosing thats too rich for my blood ... well ... wait ... ok if it did come with that I would seriously consider it!

its now in the RS 4.0 ballpark ... and of course it will be "better" ... but will it be "RS 4.0" worthy?

I guess I will keep my "last of the real/luddite GT3s" for a while until I win the lottery

I'm in with the movie star option. How much extra is that?

Yeah--just make sure there are no production line issues with that, please.

Porsche keeps trying harder and harder to make a pre-owned Mclaren look like an awesome deal!

If they keep up this pricing policy, a Fiat will look like a bargain.

I believe this may be remembered as when Porsche 'jumped the shark'. . .

She'll be a very busy movie star.

50 k is a bit high but will help the 3.8's value. I wonder how much better will it be.

I received my info direct from Porsche. October 2014 delivery, $180,000 M.S.R.P. As the GT3 has very little clickable on it I expect the GT3 RS to be around $190,000 loaded up. The base for the RS 4.0 which has the same power was $185,000....

But which would you rather own???

I think Porsche has cottoned on to the reality that most GT3 buyers don't view the Turbo as a step up.

Considering when the GT3 made it debut, AP said the 475 hp is conservative, I find 500hp for the RS hard to digest. I personally would have expected around 525hp, which would have sounded like a bigger difference while in effect still be a 25-30 hp bump. I'm keeping my deposit on the RS until we hear solid facts.
