I would never buy a new Corvette. Come on look they are every friken-where! I just don't want to get grouped in with all the other hotrodder, old fart types. I love hot rods and Corvettes. But I just don't want to be lumped up into that scene. Wearing a Chevy windbreaker and keeping a short kept beard. Naw!

I am a nut, who has a rubber butt, everytime I turn around I go put-put! Such is my mantra. I'm the dude who wants to put a ducktail on a, new, turbo and remove the turbo's air inductions from the rear quarter panel because, to me, they are an eye sore.

The height of 911 Turbo design was the 993.

RUF did a good job when they came out with their own turbo. Putting the induction for the turbo on top of the rear quarter panel. Now if I could have that option from the factory I would do it. It's just to me the holes on the quarter panels takes away far too much from what Ferdinand Porsche intended the cars shape to be and that goes on to every iteration until the end of time. If he were still alive when they came up with the 996 TT he would have told them take it back and rethink it. It just looks like ,"heh guys we need ports for turbo induction so let's put them in the best place for them, on the rear quartet panels". And Dammit I know that's the best, direct, place to put them. But Bleh. Besides what I already said all its doing is saying "heh look I got a Turbo guys"

Fully loaded, the RS 3.8 was 155k. This car is 25k more and probably has LEDs, full leather, buckets, and pccb standard.

I don't see any cause for alarm.

It's easy to push the price of a new Porsche into the stratosphere with options, but IMO it's more reasonable to consider the price based on a 'reasonably' equipped car. From that standpoint, I think a 991 GT3 with minimal options is the best value among the 991 offerings ... but still sucks that MT isn't offered.

Agreed, but I thought the cartoon might be appropriate.

New video. Article says it's a GT2, but with the center exhaust it looks like a GT3RS to me, side intakes notwithstanding. I am in a public place with my audio off, so can't tell what it sounds like...

Is that the sound of a wastegate or scraping of the lip? Wastgate may indicate a turbo engine. It looks so good what ever it is.

Sounds like a GT3. Another video for comparison.

My base 3.8RS was $132800
My base 4.0RS was $187500

Base is the only right spec for me with lightweight headlights, AC stays, radio goes. White when they used to be CUP car based, I was thinking Atlas Grey for the automatic GTRS.

I'm very alarmed.
