Can someone go over again how porache knows a car has been at the track, or that it broke at the track? Is it just the clag marbles in wheel wells?.. Can't you clean those out?

With PDK you can't overrev right? So dme wouldn't tell a story that is compelling. Newbie question probably

It's too much trouble and cost to get the bottom detailed, rotors, pads, clear bra, tear offs and calipers replaced / painted each time you go to the dealer.

Plus there other tell tails like roll bar, harnesses, data loggers, cameras to uninstall..

For resale with enough effort most can be hidden, or service not so much.

They had also altered the traction control to work with them. (Info provided by C. Harris)

At the time, I remember trying to find the sping rates for Mooty. I think I even called the cleaning lady in the lobby at Weissach to get them.

Ah the good old days.
You only had to ask

"On the 24hrs car we played with 65 and 80s for the front and 125 and 140 for the rear main, tender untouched. For the bumpy Nordschleife we ended up with the less stiff 65/125 combo. It was easier to drive and was a good choice for rainy conditions as well. As you say the stock springs are too "loose" for slicks, allowing too much dive under braking. We had the same problem. We did not change damper settings wanting to keep the car as stock as possible, and it worked fine. With the 80/140 we were faster in good conditions (dry tarmac) but the car tends to get a lot more snappy and calls for a more experienced driver, the margin of error simply got very narrow....like in a race car"

Symbolism over substance, some get it some don't and some have married their view 'till death do they part.

Substance and factual marketing is available elsewhere. The Great Porsche Marketing Machine spew simply became too offensive to me and the disconnect of the claims from the reality of the product too great so I moved on. Quite happy with the decision.

I hesitate to post this in case it causes mass hysteria...... but PCNA found my buddy's name on a DE registration site when he was having a mild issue with the transmission in his 997.1 GT3. That's how they knew the car was tracked. Long story short, transmission fix (removal and completely disassembly) was eventually covered under CPO.

Also, DME records if the car rolls backwards (after a spin) in gear. Stage 4 overrev and you're SOL (in most cases). Stage 3, it depends. Sometimes covered, sometimes not.
