Front Axle Lifter

I would have to get a front lift.
The streets inside the 610 loop are so bad. I swear that over the last 4 months they have gotten even worse. The city has had to lop off 3 drainage manhole covers in my neighborhood as the surrounding asphalt is collapsing.
The summer before last they blamed the drought. We've had a fair bit of precip this year, and the streets still seem to be sinking.
Even with a lift, I may yet have to reconsider and get a C2S or Turbo.

Yep, it's become pretty clear that this will be a must-have option, and all cars without it will suffer both during usage, but potentially in second hand market also

Look how much you have to pay for an Aussie GT3 though, right? Might as well throw it in for that price!
How much is the new GT3 is Australia converted to US dollars? The price of cars, and gas, is one.of the only times Im.grateful for living in the states.
As Id much rather live even in some.of the eastern block countries ive worked in.

A lot depends on where you live. But there is one thing you can be certain of; lifter or no lifter your front end will be scraped. To some this will be intolerable but to others like myself not a big deal. Before I turn the car in I replace the rubber front end. Of course, if you are unmindful whether you have the lifter or not you could do damage to more than the rubber under hang.

Drive away price on a base model car is now AUS$317k (US$290ish), up from AUS$290ish for the 997.2... Another reason I won't be considering it...

I agree. The 997 GT3 is going to be in strong demand now. If Porsche won't build a manual GT3, they should at least make a properly hard core Cayman for those many drivers who want a real sports car.
