Default GT3 production delays.... again!

My dealer got back to me today with the latest update regarding the delivery and I must say, it isn't pretty. Even though "we have now received confirmation from the factory that the production delays have been resolved and the dates on the system are now accurate. Unfortunately all our cars have been affected."

What this means for me:
- Initial information: week 28 production finish, ETA week 35.
- Early July update: week 34 production finish, ETA week 41.
- End of July update: week 36 production finish, ETA week 44.
- Early September update: week 39 production finish, ETA week 47.

What this means for the other markets? I don't know, but one would think that, unless there is sufficient slack in the weekly production volumes, these delays will not only affect the 'earlier' markets such as Europe and the Middle East, but might get all deliveries pushed backwards?

If that's true, sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Ugh. But I would have to agree that there will be downstream affects for the ROW.

The delay is caused by manual transmission testing...

Somebody mentioned a while back problems with parts inventory; have no idea what parts that may be.

Lets see what the conspiracy theorists come up with.

I like the "manual transmission" retrofit conspiracy ...

although I would like to start another ... problems with the RWS motors... no wait, how about the electric steering ... or ... no wait ... PDK-S shift failures ...

It is only a three week delay and could be related to the front lifter or coordination of TT and GT3 builds.

C-mon Mike, admit it! You'd be happy for me if that was the case because you're a nice guy...

Plus,you'd have another " problem " on your mind besides PCCBs...Mmmm... " should I go manual or should I go PDK-S... "

That's what i heard as well; form a very reliable source.
Apparently, Porsche is testing a steering column mounted three speed like the old Dodge Dart. Much, much more involving...

I would be happy for you, Nick. The PCCB's are a go....I'm set and the last thing I need now is more changes to think about....
