a list is just that, a list. most dealer will take your name and deposit and put on you a LIST. but they have no idea how many hey will get. maybe they will have 29, maybe they only have 2.9.

In Dubai we have the biggest selling dealer of porsches worldwide. They have 27 confirmed GT3 cars coming for the years 2014 and 2015. They have more slots available as well but people here tend to go for the 991 turbo cars more than the GT3.

dont forget that at the end of the 7.2 production the #'s of 3's Vs RS'es was not that far apart, certainly not 2:1 as I recall them MJones?

Correct. It was more like 2200 GT3 vs 1450 RS or something like that...

I thought it was even closer in the N.A market!

918 buyers get first right of refusal on all Porsche limited edition cars... Straight from the factory... for 10 years. THEN the remaining allocations are handed to the dealer network. There are over 200 current 918 buyers/orders now for the US market. How many of you 918 owners are going to eat up our less than 500 vehicle RS allotment?

The top tier of Porsche model purchasing has just changed... Unless you bought a 918.

Cars for 918 owners are outside of dealers' allocations.

Very close as the M.S.R.P is $180,000. The US is allocated 864 GT3's for 2014 and I do not know the numbers on the RS as yet, but it will be much lower than that.

Is the 864 for the US for model year 2014? Or through the end of calendar 2014?

$180K for the RS is a big jump, $50K over the unglazed donut. Hmmm. If that's an all-in price then perhaps defensible, PCCB, new seats, lots of carbon standard, LED. Not good news.

I was planning for the RS, but at $180K I'd have a hard time going through with the purchase. It had better be amazing to justify a $50K premium over the GT3.

My dealer today told me that Porsche is whispering that there may be a 4.0 engine in the RS which would help explain the price difference.

Does the 864 GT3s for the U.S. include 918 buyers GT3s, or is that in addition to
those cars for 918 buyers? Will the same model 991 GT3 (MK1) be offered after 2014 as 2015 GT3s? Will the factory manufacture GT3s and GT3RS concurrently?

Any idea when the GT2 (GT2RS?) will be introduced?
