Note the curious description in the US configurator,
"

Two seat Coupé with wide 911 Turbo body

Good find. I can't find it but maybe they started working early on the configuration for the RS!

They had the GT3 configuration up shortly after the introduction as well.

Maybe they're referring to the previous Turbo wide body which at 72.91" is the same as the 991 4/4S body and 991 GT3. The description hasn't been updated since the new Turbo body was introduced.
