Hi Spence, thanks for taking the trouble to follow up on this. I'm sure there will still be doubters but at least we have a little more info than we did. Personally I agree with your conclusion, and I have a feeling all of these numbers will eventually be confirmed in due time.

In relation to the lap times list, the time still doesn't matter much if Porsche conducted the test themselves. So it's time relative to the list is skewed regardless. That is the bottom line as speed is relative.

Yes,but I agree Porsche is conservative with their numbers. They've proven that time and time again,so I'm pretty confident they got this one right.

The Current issue of EVO magazine had their own drivers confirm that the GT3
was faster on the track than the McLaren and faster on the road than both the
GT3RS 4.0 and GT-R. I fully believe that the radically redesigned chassis, engine and transmission of the GT3, and likely the Turbo S as well, has resulted in a quantum leap in the performance of both cars greater than any previous new 911 model, and I have no doubt that as customer cars become available, independent reviews will confirm Porsche's numbers.
