Also didn't know your could flip the NT01's they look they couldn't be by their tread.

To Clarify, NT05s are a drag radial, NOT for track use. NT01 are for track use, NOT as good for the strip.

Good to know the NT01s can be flipped. Unfortunately, NT01s are only available in 285/35 for 20 inch sizing. I had some issues moving down to 19's on my 991C4S due to the lower control arms in rear. Might be difficult to find centerlocks that clear the rear arms initially but I have not researched this enough yet.

There are NT05R and NT05 the one with the R is the drag compound.

Correct. NT05 is along the same class as mpss, but mpss is much better in every way

I haven't liked MPSS on the track. The grip just isn't there compared to R-comps. But the tire can withstand hard track use, and is good in the rain. A fairly ideal summer street tire, or 'slow' track tire.

I was going to say if Ferrari is going to put out a car with a 20" wheel Pirelli shouldn't be that far behind.

I'm going to bump up to -2.4, but I know they will still wear on the outer edge with -2.4. This is on stock sway bars.

+1 The Nitto NT-05 is a great street tire that can handle hard track use with great longevity. I use NT-05s as my street tire on the GT3 and when a track day forecast is rain I run the NT-05s. I like them.

Oops my bad. I was assuming r comp comparisons. I had the trofeo r 20s on my c4s for a short stint; about 4 track days and 1000 miles of DD with about 50% tread left. But one of the tires received a nice rock puncture. Made no sense to patch or replace just one tire. Great track tire. Moderate street performance. Very pricey. Nothing beats Hoosiers period and I hope I can find some 19s to try the A6s.

Your going to see this kind of wear of the outer edge no matter what tire or how much camber you run. I seen this on every street and race car I have driven.

Your going to see this kind of wear of the outer edge no matter what tire or how much camber you run. If your driving hard.
I seen this on every street and race car I have driven.

I'll take that as confirmation that I'm driving the car 'properly'. Thanks! .

Yep. on a duel purpose car just pick your priority, performance or longevity, or you can always go slower

With Porsche and other brands using 20's, we'll soon see a much bigger selection of tires in that diameter.
One would certainly hope that is the case, but it does not always work out that way. There were many holes in 997 sizing (particularly race and soft compound street) that were never filled by the big names simply because Porsche owners were the only market for the size. While they do represent a decent market segment, alone they are not enough to warrant the cost of development for the size. I don't suspect that we will see much movement (at least initially) on the newer 20" sizing in race compounds. I do hope the big brands acknowledge the need for the sizing and act accordingly for the new cars.

This is the single biggest fear I have about confirming my order in the next couple weeks. The bloody MPSC tires are not going to last more than a few days at the track.
