Watching the 2013 comparo, with the C4S winning, I expect that next year, assuming the GT3 makes it out, is going to be a blood bath.
Not directly GT3 content, but it's really interesting to see the differences between other cars in consideration...

BMW is pretty much dead in the water, not worried about the M4. They haven't done well for 7+ years, in fact they typically end up last or at least hated by pobst. M has lost the plot and as far as I'm concerned it's just a sticker at this point. E90 was the last one. Our '14 Odyssey minivan has better steering than the F30 328 I got as a loaner.

Shake I'm with you. I'm first and foremost a bmw guy. I understand BMW chasing benz in their normal cars, but what the M division has become is embarrassing. I moved in 2000 when I just couldn't get jiggy with the E46 M3 despite a spectacular S54 motor.
Very interested in the vette but its styling and its history are against it being a top pick for me. Maybe I'll be surprised?
Speciale out of my pay grade but can't wait to read about it and see one in the flesh.

I agree that BMW has gone soft and are generally no longer building 'ultimate driving machines', but IMO the current M3 does have merit and I'm hoping the next M3/4 will reverse the trend. The prospect of getting the weight below 3300 lbs is encouraging.

My E90 is 3724lb with a full tank and a recaro baby seat. There is no chance a larger car with 3 turbos and intercoolers is going to weigh meaningfully less. Every panel on the E90 is already plastic or aluminum. I hope, but it's really not in the cards.
