Default Build Qn

Hi, Everyone. I'm building out a 991 GT3 and have a quick question about one of the options. Could someone please shed some light on what is the "Mobile Phone Preparation?" There's no explanation available in the Porsche Car Configurator. My sales rep says it's not needed for Bluetooth connectivity etc. but I don't want to leave off a free option if it adds some value or a useable feature.

Thanks for the help.

I believe it is like another phone built into your car. So if you have a separate SIM card, you can slide it into the slot that is on the PCM and keep it there. Then it's like having another phone but unfortunately it's only on your car.

There's a thread on this forum called "Mobile Phone Preparation - You Need It." Run a search for it--all the info you need is there.

Oops! I think I got it confused with Telephone Module option. My apologies to tgator96.
