Pretty sure the GT3 would have been the wrong car for you if you are happy getting a TT.

Had the 991 turbo just have been a C4S with turbos. It would have been an very light weight car, almost GT3 weight and the lightest water cooled TT ever. With the same tires that car could have been an amazing beast. Perform like a GT3 but have the stability and sure footing of AWD, have back seats, rust warranty and winter driving ability.

They could have had a manual gearbox and no rws as well in the base model and made them options but that didn't happen. None of it happened. Instead it got much bigger and heavier with PDK as standard with no option for manual. Really disappointing because I would have bought the one that they could have built, even over a 991 GT3 had I had only the option of PDK. Because it didn't happen I would have to go with the GT3.

More Powah!

Small price increase, small weight increase, big torque increase.
Will be even harder to choose if the RS is a GT3 with a wing..

I suspect if you put the same tires that are coming stock with the GT3, it may be faster on track. Great car. Congrats.

Congrats toplabels. I think this is a better idea than your one last week about a 1300 mile 997.2 TTS. The new 991 TT will be a great car. Not a GT3 but almost as good. That said I understand you wanted something asap. I know the feeling I "ordered" my GT3 last year and it will be 15 months wait before I get to drive it...

First and foremost apparently I forgot I started this thread a few days back and opened a new one with the same info...what can I say....owning your own business takes a toll. For those upset about it I have no problem sending my apolies to you if my double posting upset your balance....

On another note GT3 or TURBO its just a bucket list to me. As far as the GT3 being the wrong car for me, well I dont know so maybe I'll get one of each and then decide which one to keep. I am not loosing sleep over it thats for sure.

As opposed to a few I dont get fixated on a particular car. The only thing that matters is it being a Porsche. I enjoy them all and take them for what they are.
