Sorry Dez, not buying the hack part. Here's a video of a pro, looks similar to me:

My car has no where near 700 hp. If it did I would be well into the
170's. It's 515-520 whp.

I thought your turn in's were almost at maximum speed because my feeling was the car was at the tipping point of unsettling. Nice piece of driving.
Not sure more hp would have matter with the car suspension and set up especially on the turns. NO doubt on straightaways HP would have helped time wise but would have caused different problems when entering the turns.

Yep, trying to find between 0-1 mph less than too hot.
HP is diminishing returns, but is effective. A car that will put 10-12 mph on another car on the back straight at VIR will put approx 1 second on the back straight, 1 second on the front straight and .5 between the esses. That's a 2.5 second handicap. My car (and a 2010 + Cup) will put 10-12 mph on a 2010+ GT3. Meanwhile, a Nascar with 800-900 hp or the Topspeed GT-R with well over 900 hp will put 10 mph on me, maybe something with less hp but much less weight would too.

We met at the very end of the weekend, right as you were leaving. I was driving the white cayman. Still contemplating my next track car build. Love my 4Liter RS, but it's too special to become a dedicated track car. Loved the balance of the cayman, but it doesnt have 600hp :-( Thanks for pointing me towards Goldcrest.
Goldcrest I know for sure is the bomb!!!! I just saw Jack Baldwins World Challenge leading Cayman at the shop the other day. Thing is immaculate and $$$$$$$$. Had $22k 5 way adjustable ohlins on it.
Goldcrest knows their stuff, my car is back there now. Highly recommended and great guys. Tell them I sent you and they will not do anything special because of it.

Cayman as track car is a money pit. Many have tried, they don't succeed, unless slow is considered successful.

I think ITC are the only Caymans I have seen that are worth anything. And from the example's I have seen those have a LOT of money dumped into them. I would guess somewhere just under 7 Cup prices, only about 6-10 seconds slower on a 2.5 mile track.

Dez, don't know what you have as far as safety, but I'd be wanting quality roll cage, fire suppression system, etc. at your speeds and minimal safety margins. We see that pros continue to be killed in fully-prepped race cars. Your speed through the climbing esses is tremendous and, as you know, that's a terrible place to lose it.

Dez, what turbos are your running? Stock clutch slave cylinder/accumulator or did you do the GT2 conversion? Still AWD or did you remove the front diff? With that much hp, What clutch do you have?

Not interested in paying 100k or more a year to race amatuer.
Stock k24, 7 cup tilton clutch/flywheel, , removal of hydraulics, osgiken lsd, inlet pipes, tune, straight pipes everything else drivetrain is stock. RWD. . Have had the cup for one year, its rated to 700 lb ft I think. Drive it on off trailer no issue yet. Revs like an na car. The flywheel is so small the car can't detect it and thinks the car is misfiring. This is why the tach signal wigs out on my data overlay. Have to clear misfire codes regularly. Will stall if not blipped from high speed braking.

So basically your running almost a 996 GT2 RSR. Missing front bumper and extended wheel arches but the wheels are tires are pretty much the same. Impressive.
