I posted the links and video because, a lot of times, people are not what we perceive them to be on a forum. Most of us could only drive like Dez in our dreams. The guy has talent, confidence, and big *****.
Here is a link to more information.

P. S. I have never met Dez, but if I do meet him, I am buying him a couple of beers.

Must be a very fast track. As well as he was driving, he was never able to close the gap on the car in front of him.

dez ran out front all weekend. next closest competitor was 6 sec off his pace. His 996 turbo ran 3sec faster than an experienced GT driver in 2012 cup car. fun to watch a Pcar beat up on a field of mostly vipers and fetters.

Thanks for the props. I'm still a hack like the rest of us. Just trying to figure out how to drive my car as fast as it can go.
My only defense of my argumentative posting style is that it reflects my competitive nature. I have always been the super competitive person even among all people who compete for a living. I believe that pure competition is diminished with too many "assists". I can also assure you I will be the last guy to give in. I do not apologize for that. It's who I am.
Car is still faster than I drove it. But for my limited time at the track, on the tires and a blind setup, I'm pretty happy with the result. Would have LOVED a 1:54.999999 though!! I know where I'm missing time though and have a game plan to fix that.
I believe on many tracks roughly within a second of cups up to 2012 (with pro drivers). At VIR that is low 1:52's. Pretty sure I can get into the high 53's with a little more seat time given my poor choice of gears in a couple of sections.
That was my class competition. Funny, I said the same thing to my wife when I got out of the car. I didn't feel like I was catching up. I was, but my fastest lap was only 1.2 seconds faster than those guys and even at those speeds, it's hard to tell at that distance.

Hater
Thanks!
It's pretty good, have a couple of invites for that actually.
Well stated.
Can live with that opinion. Especially the second part!
Thanks, I met a lot of new people this weekend, don't recall you from screen name, when did we meet?
Both. 600 (crank hp)
Fast on straights = easy. Fast in corners = no as easy. More stable than it looks (I think).
Thanks!
