You'll be able to buy in the used market long before then.

Q3 will arrive anywhere between end of Aug and late Oct '14, hardly 24 months. Earliest allocation (1) I could find was Q1 which will be a 2014 delivered between late Feb and May. For the few extra months I'll wait for the MY and likely better option selection. The timing suits be better anyway.

Bluehinder: Yeah, they'll be a lot of used ones . So cars will have barely been delivered through three quarters. The big dealers are sold out. Sure, everyone is going to buy a new one and pedal it two - four months later for far less. Comical.

Im really getting jealous and annoyed that I still have not heard from my dealer yet. Congrats to you but sucks for me. I don't know if I'm willing to wait 1-2 years for a car. Im not that patient.

Dealers know what they are getting.
If they have yet to be assigned allocation(s), they are very likely not getting any. Unless of course a 'pool' car is gifted them by their Porsche rep; which happens.

Who says "for far less"? I'm sure they'll be on Ebay after three quarters. 918 buyers who get one may be the first to let them go.

For other engineers like me that read everything literally, you mean "locked down my 2015 GT3 for Q3 2014 delivery."

Yes. My bad. I should have been more accurate. I assumed all knew we had only allocations through the end of 2014 calendar year thus far.

Im in NY with pretty high volume dealer. They received their allocations but no build dates. I'm pretty sure my salesman is taking car of me but the fact that he still can't confirm Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 while some of you have it already makes me feel "Stranded" on an island. Litterally
