Build has been specified and final deposit paid. Will take delivery in March 2014. Earliest build date in Canada for those wanting the front axle lift system is January 2014.

About the front axle lift, I have it on my US November build and so far no indication of a delay. Either my dealer is missing something or availability is different on this option in the US and Canada. Interesting.

Sorry, I have no clue about how many cars my dealer is getting. I just know I've signed a binding contract to buy the car to my specifications and that I'm definitely "safe" for an allocation as I made the initial deposit months ago. I don't want the car until spring 2014 anyways.

When they entered my build specifications, a pop-up came up on their computer system indicating the earliest build date for front axle lift system option is January 2014.

You had to sign a binding contract? I just had the standard refundable deposit--they told me it would be a non-refundable deposit if it were a build that was on the funkier side (mine's a plain Jane white on black).

You had me a little worried that my dealer might have missed something, but I sat there with my sales rep as he input the order and no pop-up so I suppose I'm ok. Sounds like Porsche may be prioritizing axle lift availability for different markets.

Thanks Mike. Still undecided on a few things; colour being the biggest

Thanks Russ. Looks like our cars will likely be built fairly close together if you decide to go ahead with your order.

Oh BTW, now I've added Saphire Blue as a strong possibility for mine too after seeing this photo...

Peter,

I have decided to pass on the chance to purchase the Dec 2013 991 GT3 allocation. A real-estate opportunity for the lot next to my place at Pigeon lake have presented itself and I don't have the funds to do both so the car will have to wait, perhaps later in 2014.

Good luck with your 991 GT3 purchase, let me know when it arrives, I'm working in Calgary during the weekdays and would love to see your car in the flesh.

Cheers

Hi Russ,

When opportunity knocks, you gotta answer. Good luck with it and I'm sure you won't miss the GT3 with that awesome track car you just bought to keep you entertained

My car is schedule to arrive on 01/24/2014. I will probably leave it at the dealers until spring/summer/June knowing our weather
