Sports Bucket Seats on Configurator momentarily

You're apparently convinced obviously but for others:
Do not take the advice on this forum as gospel - go try the bucket seats at your dealer before ordering. Everyone on here talks like track performance is all that matters, because being hardcore is cool in a forum...
The reality is that almost none of these people are actually using the GT3 as a track-only car and if they are, they're misusing what is designed as a street car.
If you're using the car 1 or 2 times/week to drive to friends places, etc, and only 5 or 6 times/year at the track like I plan on doing, the bucket seats are very difficult to get in and out of and you will wear the bolsters out on the left side, which will look horrible.
Life is not an internet forum.

Is it safe to have bucket seats with a 4 or 5 point harness without roll cage, in case of a rollover?

Yep, I use this same technique with my 996 RS buckets and it's not a problem at all.

It's a lot safer to have harnesses than not to, a roll cage makes the car much safer in the event of any on track incident.

I DD my spyder with sport buckets all the time and love them! Agree that you should find some and sit in them for a while. The problem is that with simply a test drive, you won't get the full appreciation of them. They will feel rigid and upright...but once you get used to them, you'll never want any other seat in a Porsche. That's my OPINION - which is what Internet forums are for.

Geoff,
Did you ever officially inquire of PAG, either directly or through your RM, as to the availability and timing of the sport buckets? My dealer sent an inquiry and was told it would take 3 weeks for a response from Germany. There must have been an official reply at some point in the past. All I have seen on the subject is conjecture. Did I miss something?
