I know that porsche said what the lap time benefit of RWS is compared to the amount of weight they would have to remove from a car to get the same times, but what is the actual weight of all the RWS stuff? Thanks

The entire system weighs 15KG or 33lbs. About half of that weight is at the front of the car for the larger battery that's needed to handle increased electrical load.

I am very interested in how this system changes the typical track alignment that a lot of people used for 996/997 cars and how the tire wear at the track will be with this rear steering system.

I expect you will need to wait until the ROW the delivery and gain experience. However from reading 95% of the posts nobody buying the car will be "real enthusiasts" so could be a long wait.
