That's what I thought - am I correct in saying that you can't choose which tyres your car arrives with, it is random?

Would the Michelins be expected to better for day to day use, in particular in wet conditions???

I believe you can choose which tires you want. The problem is it could delay deliver.

Why bother? They'll get chewed up in no-time.

i was never a fan of the PS Cups. I like the PSS but they are far from a proper track tire. I like the R888, but their life span was too short.

NT-01 from Nitto was my favorite, but they don't make 20s or even 19s.

I don't believe the factory (PAG) allows you to choose the tires you want on any Porsche ordered - custom or dealer spec.

I dont know much about the MPSC2 specs, or the Dunlops for comparison, but hopefully the PSC2's have improved wet performance over their predecessors

If you are worried about street/wet performance, switch out whatever tire your car comes with for the MPSS (Super Sport) not as good a track tire as either of the OEM options, but still excellent dry and superior (to OEM) wet traction.

^ Good info. I do not track my cars but do test the limits on the streets so need very good dry/wet adhesion

For Dry/Wet combo & street driving, there is no competition to MPSS. I know many people who use them as rain track tires, they are so good in the wet. Also, very quiet and last long, unless you track them. On track, they do not last, despite their high longevity rating - that seems to only apply to road driving! I only got less than 2/3 of life of Yoko AD08 from MPSS.

MPSC2 are not too bad in the wet - I suspect better than previous generation, but I did not have a chance to directly compare. Comparing to AD08, for example, I'd say they are same or better in the wet.

then I would definitely encourage you to swap to MPSS, better to surrender a little dry performance (which is only really noticeable/significant on the track if you care about a few seconds) vs significantly better wet traction characteristic than either OEM fitment will deliver.

It's unfortunate we only have 2 R-Comps to choose from, and they are both twice the price of the R888 or NT-01s.
