If this is true, then it will rival FIA-GT3 cars running full slicks and race setup. In fact I think it will be a fair bit quicker.

So, I doubt it.

Fast company. Faster than a Zonda R seems plausible. The article says it's a goal, not a done deal. Faster than a Radical seems less plausible, if you look at the car -- its not a real road car at all. At some point, ring lap times come down to gross horsepower and top speed on the straights.

I'm skeptical of the time, but I'd bet on the P1 over the LaFerrari.

I'm going to give a big fat no way.

That number is extreme. Radicals are ALMS GT fast (with regular Joe's in them) and I'd say a Radical couldn't do that on slicks. No way a full body GT car is going to do that.

If McLaren targets that time, I see no reason to doubt them. I do wonder how Porsche can compete, simply because it's bringing the least HP to the ring and the 918 weighs 3750lb. What does the P1 weigh?

I believe the P1 will be in the 3200 - 3300 pound range, but that is not yet confirmed. They definitely worked hard to keep it light, relative to its peers.
