I have no intention of paying close to $7000 for seats, remove them and replace them with another set of $6000 seats. I will stick with the OEM seats if the buckets are not available this fall.

Many believe the adaptive seats are suitable for limited track work.

Here is a picture of the foldable bucket seat.

I've don't live in Germany and have never been but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night...LOL

Yup! Porsche screwed up BIG time with not offering proper seats in the USA that accept 6 point harness for the new 991/991 GT3 and the new Cayman.

Nick also the sport bucket seats that where offered for the 997 based cars do not work in the 991 based cars.

Larry, here you go.

I am staying tonight at the Hotel Neuwirtshaus a few blocks from the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen...and I think I can already smell the 'Rich Corinthian Leather' on the upcoming US 991 'sport bucket seats' from here!!!

Never mind. It was just the Spargel on the menu at the restaurant downstairs! I get confused easily on this sport bucket topic...as you all know!

Saludos,
Eduardo

They did the same thing with the 997 GT3. Company seems to still be around?

White asparagus and boiled potatoes. Yummy. I am vegetarian so no comment on the meat portion on the plate.

Don't let the bread crumbs fool you. It's tofu. Although for some odd reason they still referred to it as 'Schweineschnitzel' on the menu. Vegetarian? Good, you will be one of the lucky few that will fit into these damn tight 'sport bucket seats' when they finally get to the USA! The other skinny candidate for them is Mooty, who I heard is a true vegan!

Saludos,
Eduardo

PS Had dinner tonight with one of the designers who worked on the 918 Spyder...and specifically it's sport bucket seats. These are non-folding, full carbon fiber sport buckets (w. air bags) that adjust for up & down, besides front & rear. Interestingly, he mentioned one of the biggest reason in their development for the 918 was that it allowed the design team the ability to build a lower vehicle! Regulations on driver's field of vision are so tightly regulated today that otherwise it would have been impossible to keep the 918 that low to the ground! The adjustable seat allows short 'owners' to raise their sitting positions higher and thus 'pass' the field of vision driving test! Same for lowering the seats for tall drivers, without blocking their vision from the windshield frame! Would they ever be offer on a 991, 981 or 991 gt3 or RS? I don't know. Perhaps a cheaper version. Your guess is as good as mine!

How was the tofu? It looks really good fried in I assume bread crumbs. BTW, I would have no problem fitting in sport buckets seats.

Hey! I resemble that remark.

Anyway, vegetarians get what they deserve. And by that I mean a healthy body, long life and greater sexual potency than a cartload of fuuck monkeys (Bonobo chimpanzees.)

I propose that as the official theme song of the Rennlist forum!

We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the (forum) classroom

Saludos from a very warm & humid Zuffenhausen!
