Default Aston Martin to run hydrogen hybrid @NBR 24hr. What about the 991 GT3?

The challenge has been set! If Aston Martin have confidence that their hydrogen bomb can circle the NBR for 24 hours, then Porsche should step up and prove to the world that the new GT3 is all about go and not just show, just like they did in 2010 with the 997.2 RS!.. Agreed?

The Aston on hydrogen?
Porsche has already played their hand - they run their cars on hot air.

Kidding!

Porsche is doing the 24 in France but suspect no mater what will never be enough for some.

Haven't heard that Roberga...

If the new platform GT3 runs a 24hour race anywhere to prove the new technology, I'd be most happy... Germany, France, even Mongolia... The venue doesn't interest me.

Other manufacturers see the importance of putting their money where there mouth is, so to speak, to prove new technology when their cars aren't even intended for track... So should Porsche considering the GT3 is a track focussed car...

The Rapide is an existing car modified with new tech, exactly like when Porsche ran the hybrid 997 GT3 at the 24 hours of the NBR.

The 991 GT3, OTOH, is a brand new car, introduced only a month ago and 4-6 months away from production. Be patient; the new platform will prove itself soon enough....

there were a few 991's (converted road cars) racing at VLN 2 & 3. They seemed to work fine. I'm sure the gt3 will kick ***.
