Imagine a GT3/RS with a rearview camera...
Capitol Hill to host rear-view camera talks this week

I found this link on my local C&C facebook page...
My opinion on the matter is to take away drivers licenses/not give them out like candy in the first place/get collectively smarter. None of which are going to happen.

The issue of mandated rear-view cameras will be thrust back into the spotlight on Thursday as members of Congress and parents of children injured in rollover accidents will take to Capitol Hill to urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to pass rear-visibility regulations.

Philosophical arguments about whether the camera should be mandated or not aside, in the worst case scenario, if the camera is required it won't be that big of a deal. The camera module on my Cayenne is about 1" square and hidden under the overhang for the license plate. You can't even see it unless you kneel down to look and since it uses the existing PCM screen the added weight is negligible. The camera actually has some utility, as long as you don't rely on it exclusively.
