Would love to hear him answer this question.......

It almost seems if Porsche may be posturing themselves to relegate the 911 by allowing the competition to continuously pull away.. Releasing a vehicle that is no longer a performance match for it's competitors seems like they may be throwing in the towel and preparing for the new mid-engine thing.

However, when you look at VW owned manufacturers like Lambo and Audi for example, they have been that way for a long time. Nice spec sheets, lots of technology and drivers assists, but without the performance that matches it. Certainly not industry leading, also not really building cars for enthusiasts.

Hard to tell what the true issue is. Has Porsche been completely VW'd, or have are they preparing for a new top dog? Could be both.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to post constructive questions and inquires. There are a few on here we hadn't yet thought of and will do our best to incorporate them into our discussion with AP. As I'm sure you can imagine, the conversation will be strictly focused on the new GT3 itself and some of the broader questions will either get missed or he simply won't be in a position to answer. We'll post back here in a few days (when we're back from NY) and let you know what he had to say.

We'll continue to check this thread for the next day in the event anything new pops up.

Please Mr. P can you make a GT3 convertible? You have broken all the rules on this one anyway so why not. I would love a screaming 9k redline in an open top car with PDK and a much sharper chassis.

And if we can't have sport buckets, shouldn't the comfy seats offer massage and ventilation... all of that espresso I'm going to be drinking makes me gassy after all

Ask him at exactly what point did Porsche make the monumental decision that the GT3 was no longer a sports car, but rather a touring car...and why.

I'll probably never buy a street car without A/C or at least vented seats again. Remote start is also very high on the list. And I park in an A/C garage home and at work with A/C vents pointed at my drivers seat...

Dually does not fit in my puny garage, but bearable with awesome A/C seats and remote start.

No hemorrhoids yet but once a seat is baked you have to crank the A/C way more, a like a cool *** and not much A/C blowing, ideally with windows open...

Please ask Mr. AP if he ever looks at the 997 GT3 and 991GT3 forum on rennlist. That might be the best lead in question and tell us all a lot from his answer.

Quick Reply: If you could ask Andreas Preuninger (chief engineer of the new GT3) what would it be?
