What do we know about the 991TTT?
RS deposit cancelled and looking down the road to relieve the 4.0 from heavy track duty to maybe just a dozen or so track days a year when it gets older and runs out of warranty.
As a mostly street car the TTS was always the "better" car. Faster, much more torque, a bit more comfortable end with PDK more traffic jam capable.
on track it felt less connected where it is just as fast as a GT3. With the PDK only GT3 and RS, less fun even with the hooligan clutch in mode, (the stupidest gimmicky thing on the GT3) why not get the TTT, it can't be more expensive than the RS and will be faster on track.
It may be a bit heavier but the GT3 is already heavier then a c2s and less fun for the sake of lap time so why not go even faster with same tuning and aero for some proper RS bullying?
Maybe I need a GT2RS as well, but I think I missed the dip and they are now skyrocketing.
Could it be that the TTT feels about a sporty as a Viper or Corvette with similar lap times?
Could it be that the TTT comes with a manual and weigh no more than a 991 GTS aka GT3
Just in case the Vette nor Viper can take a good track beating...

PDK, heavier.
That's enough to cancel my deposit.
also and i could be proven wrong but don't trust the electric steering (My how terrible feeling in the C2s) PTV, new engine yet as a hard core track car in terms of durability track support and driving fun. Never mind individual preferences for setting up the car for individual handling characteristics. So all of a sudden we have many other options as mentioned above.

Fabulous car; sure. Lot's of power; absolutely. But it's not like the GT3 is lacking in that department. I guess I don't see why the TTT would be an acceptable option while the GT3 isn't.

i test drove a turbo S the other day . .
it was nothing to write home about - -
Everytime I hit the gas - it took a second or two to get going....pretty noticeable lag.
Also - handling wise felt different than gt3....not sure how. . .just not as good.
I will say . ..once it got going - it was extremely fast. . . .but just not the same.....and you have to live with that vacuum / hair dryer sound exhaust. . . .

Very realistic reasoning tcar, I was first on the list here and gave up my spot for the exact same reason.
If they're both Pdk, why not be faster and more comfortable.
I had a tts, and I can assure you it's faster than most any gt3.
Currently happy in a 997.1tt, awaiting the 991ttt.

TTT is already confirmed to be PDK only. RS is going to be really fast on track...

It's really a shame to see this PDK only nonsense. Makes someone want to get a 991S MT ordered and send it to RUF to get it turbo'd. Perhaps in a year or two they will release a highly anticipated manual a la BMW M5 (E60 & F10) etc. I'm just hoping the Turbo S will be PDK only and the Turbo will have the option for a M/T just like 997.2 Turbo models.

I agree, if there is a place it's in the turbo. I just hope that it is a better drive than the 997 Turbo S. I had a 997.1 M/T and it was so much more rewarding to drive than the 997.2 Turbo S IMO. Also, I've driven a Scuderia and a 458 both of those were just fine to drive with the F1 tranny. Perhaps Porsche will do something similar with their new PDK for GT cars. We will probably get some inkling when the 991 GT3 is driven and reviewed...

My thought wondering to TTT is that if the GT3 is going away from purity and road feel and fun towards a more techno assisted heavier but faster car, why not take it just a bit further and go faster still? PFK fits better with Turbo's I think.
How many 40K cheaper GTR's sells Nissan per year?
How many would they sell if they had a model that looked the same, was a little lighter, offered a manual and rear wheel drive for 40% less?
