Well got a call from the dealer and we have been given the first batch of allocations here in the UAE.

July build, delivery September at the latest( could be August). I'm very pleased with that.

All the options stayed the same except for deleting the front axle lift as that would delay the build date from July to October.

Now the long wait begins

Arth - Dahamn...you might well be amongst the first taking delivery....AP was commenting that July is the finalisation of "tweaks"....so your build slot would be immediately at start of production.

Arth. Good news for you. However ask your dealer to check with Porsche again after 21 March. My dealer told me a week ago all Porsche production dates were now frozen and new allocations/quotas were awaited from Porsche. Appears they were still playing with final details right up to Geneva (and perhaps beyond). I think the 4WS thing was very late on the take (originally planned for unveiling with production 918 in Sept) and no doubt they are working through supplier capacity etc. As such there is a strong chance they will be pushing all production dates out. I was ordered first in line and due for July production this has now been delayed until Oct/Nov but i suspect thats because all RHD production is now starting after LHD production...you might not be so badly affected being LHD....
