I gotta say that a pretty huge difference in tech to be comparing. A dual clutch is two parallel transmissions handing off from one another to connect the engine to the wheels. Single clutch...f1...smg.....is simply the terminator operating a manual tranny for u. Big difference, and may be the detail missed that separates the new target market from the old.

Btw - koenigsegg has a single clutch unit with an output brake that helps synchronize input-output speeds to speed up shifts to dual clutch speeds (well closer at least) in an 89kg package.....and can handle 1200hp....crazy.
