I don't think that it's about not wanting the new 991 so much as they did such a good job with the .2 RS. It really is a great car. I got a call from my dealer last night to see if I wanted the first new GT3 coming in. I respectfully passed, having just picked up my cherry 11 RS about 5 months ago. Interestingly enough they just sold a nice 11 RS for $150K. It took all of 2 days. I think the new GT3 will be a great car, but I'll wait a bit to see if they put in sport seats and let them work out any bugs.

Well, it seems to be different here in Germany/Europe. 2RS are no so easy to sell. It seems that prices are "weak". A fact I noticed when trying to sell my 2RS. Maybe someone interested in the US? Usually the cars go bacck from the US to Germany btu with Euro getting weaker it is maybe time to reverse this

2RS white/gold 7400km/4625 mls
folding GT2 seats 6 point harnesses driver and passenger side
new windshield
new battery
steelflex brake lines
RS29 brake pads
clutch and PP from 4.0 installed and new LSD parts @ 5000km/3125mls
asking price in Germany 115 k Euro = approx. 150k $

First 2RS come up now with under the water mark of 100 k Euro (approx. 130 k $). Wich happend at the time of the 991GT3 showing at Genf.

Also an issue is the Italian car market. Many luxury car owners needed to sell their cars due to new tax situation (they want to avoid to get on the radar ).

I first was exited about the new GT3 but now I get more and more disappointed when I think about the amount of gizmos built into it and especially the weight increase. I think even the 2RS is to heavy ....

Well I bought an (used) 991S with manual gear box - was tough to find one. Out of approx 85 cars on the market only 5 cars are manual ...

Due to the bad weather I had no chance yet to pick the car up at the Porsche centre where I purchased it. I will do so on the upcoming Friday and will let you know how the first drive was - will be a 540 km / 330 mls first experience
So I bought the manual without even test driving this or a PDK car but I am confident everything will be fine. I am already very excited and looking forward to the car also curious about how it feels compared to a 2RS

Keep you posted ...

I have tested the 7MT many times, your going to love it! One of the best MT I have ever driven in a non GT car.

Yeah, with this car there won't be much room left for excuses as to why you're still slow. Bye!
